NUS Scotland is the only organisation in Scotland that works to improve our education, day in-day out. This is why we were formed, and is now where we must ensure our priorities lie.

I passionately believe that NUS Scotland should not just be campaigning to improve the student experience, but should be working hard to develop a world-class education system where the focus is always fixed firmly on students and our right to excellent teaching, academic resources, and student support.

We need a fully-funded education system that encourages everyone to participate. We need to rid Scotland of the unfair barriers that too often leave people behind, and we need to stop the scandal of capable students being forced to leave education; not because they have lost their desire or ability to learn, but because of their financial situations and personal circumstances.

I will be the NUS Scotland President to fight the battles our students demand and take on the challenge of creating an Scottish education system where academic ability is the only deciding factor for students going into education.

To deliver this we must build and unite a strong national movement that is focused on making our voice heard and fights to deliver education for all.

I am the candidate to take on this challenge, to fight for the rights of our students, and to make our vision of a further and higher education system focused around students and our needs a true reality.
